Sanamama Unveils First Physical Boutique, Blending Spirituality and Fine Jewelry
Sanamama, a brand celebrated for its spiritually infused fine jewelry, has established its first physical retail presence in the Miami region. This new venture allows founder Gabi Torres to personally connect with clients, offering her unique blend of practical mysticism and sacred ornamentation. The boutique is designed to be an immersive space where the essence of Sanamama’s philosophy comes to life, moving beyond the digital realm to a tangible experience for customers seeking both beauty and spiritual resonance.
The expansive 2,000-square-foot store, located at 1160 Kane Concourse in Bay Harbor Islands, Fla., began its journey last month, precisely coinciding with the eve of a new moon. Torres emphasized the significance of this timing, noting that the new moon symbolizes fresh starts and the setting of new intentions within the lunar cycle. She believes this energetic alignment perfectly embodies the core values and aspirations of the Sanamama brand, marking a meaningful commencement for the new retail space.
Torres refers to her store as a “sanctuary,” a space that perfectly aligns with her “material meets ethereal” design philosophy. Within this serene environment, customers can discover Sanamama’s extensive collection of 14k and 18k gold jewelry. Additionally, the boutique offers a range of tools for healing and cleansing, such as “ritual bowls” crafted from rose quartz, designed for cleansing and holding jewelry. The store also features crystal furniture, decorative items, and gemstone sound bowls, all curated to enhance a sense of well-being and spiritual connection.
Torres elaborated on her vision for Sanamama, describing it as an endeavor to cultivate a complete lifestyle that harmonizes the spiritual and material worlds through exquisite jewelry. Her personal journey with crystals spans over a decade, during which she has not only collected them but also studied their energetic properties and meanings, and even incorporated them into clients’ homes. This deep understanding and passion for stones inspired her to create pieces that can be integrated into daily life, offering both aesthetic appeal and grounding energy.
As a Cancer, Torres places significant importance on the concept of home, which heavily influenced the design of the boutique’s lounge area. She envisioned this space as a reflection of life-sized jewelry for the home, aiming to infuse beauty, intention, and a sense of grounding energy into everyday living. The lounge, adorned with crystal furniture, is particularly meaningful to Torres as it encapsulates the very essence of Sanamama’s energy and ambiance. It serves as an inspirational zone where clients can envision how to incorporate these unique pieces into their own environments, offering a firsthand experience of living amidst crystals.
For the in-store jewelry displays, Torres collaborated with local furniture artisan Carved Woodworks. Her specific request was for modular and movable displays that could be reconfigured for various events. These displays were also designed to form distinct geometric shapes, ensuring the space remains versatile and dynamic, adapting to different showcase needs. The boutique further enhances its holistic offerings with a dedicated sound healing temple and an open-plan kitchen area, which is ideal for hosting community gatherings and events, such as the grand opening held on April 16th.
Torres, whose diverse background includes experience as a yoga instructor and art therapist, founded Sanamama in 2024. She is personally responsible for sourcing all the gemstones used in her jewelry and spiritual practices. The brand gained significant pop culture recognition when Taylor Swift was seen wearing Sanamama’s multi-gem “Inner-Spaceship ring” in her music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” from last year’s album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” This exposure, coupled with a growing consumer interest in wellness, has propelled Sanamama’s expansion and motivated Torres to establish a physical store.
Sanamama's new boutique aims to provide a space where clients can feel both intrigued and serene. Torres hopes that visitors will experience a sense of tranquility, openness, and comfort as they explore the store. Her ultimate intention is for individuals to freely wander and discover pieces that resonate with them, fostering a personal connection to the brand's unique blend of material and spiritual artistry.
