Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph: Vibrant New Editions
Experience Summer with Audemars Piguet's Latest Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs
The Grandeur of the 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs
Three new 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs are now available, each showcasing the collection's distinctive Mega Tapisserie dial pattern. These models are brought to life with striking turquoise and yellow, or pink and orange accents. The chronograph functions are highlighted with coordinating colors, including the chronograph hands, tachymeter scale, and the start-stop pusher, creating a cohesive and dynamic visual appeal.
Precision and Power: The Calibre 4404 Movement
Powering the 42mm models is Audemars Piguet's in-house integrated chronograph movement, the Calibre 4404. Introduced in 2019, this advanced movement features a column-wheel mechanism and a vertical clutch, ensuring precise and smooth chronograph operation. It boasts a 4 Hz frequency and an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The collection includes two stainless steel versions with black dials and pink accents or a silver-toned aesthetic with orange highlights. A third titanium model features yellow and turquoise details against a dark grey dial. All three come with interchangeable calfskin straps with colored stitching and are priced at CHF 33,600.
Compact Vibrancy: The 37mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs
The three 37mm references infuse a colorful summer spirit into a more compact design. These models, fitted with rubber straps, maintain the signature Royal Oak Offshore character while offering proportions suitable for a wider range of wrists. They are driven by Audemars Piguet's latest integrated chronograph movement, the new Calibre 6401, unveiled earlier this year. Operating at 4 Hz, it provides a 55-hour power reserve.
Innovation in a Smaller Form: The Calibre 6401 Movement
The Calibre 6401, specifically designed for smaller cases, measures 27mm in diameter and 5.7mm in thickness, distinguishing it from the 32mm diameter of the Calibre 4404. This marks a strategic shift towards in-house movements for the 37mm Offshore Chronographs, responding to the growing trend for smaller watches. Previously, these models were powered by the Calibre AP 2385.
Elegant Variations: Materials and Dials of the 37mm Models
The 37mm range offers two titanium versions: one with a turquoise tapisserie dial and a clean bezel, and another with a pink dial and a diamond-set steel bezel. The most captivating option is a pink gold case featuring a diamond-set bezel and a striking light blue dial. These models are priced at CHF 32,500 (titanium), CHF 36,300 (titanium & diamonds), and CHF 54,100 (gold & diamonds).
