Carlos Santana Launches "Santana Now" Jewelry Line at JCK Show
Iconic musician Carlos Santana is venturing into the world of fine jewelry with the debut of his collection, "Santana Now," at the prestigious JCK show. This new line, conceived in collaboration with his wife Cindy and jewelry consultancy LMN Creations, aims to capture the essence of Santana's musical legacy and deeply held values of peace, spirituality, and unity. The collection, featuring accessible luxury pieces crafted from silver, natural diamonds, and various gemstones, embodies cross-cultural iconography and meaningful symbols, with a portion of sales benefiting the Milagro Foundation, underscoring Santana's belief in transforming beauty into benevolence.
Visitors to booth 23099 at the JCK show, running from May 29 to June 1, will have the opportunity to explore the "Santana Now" collection. The brand is positioned as an accessible luxury jewelry line, drawing inspiration directly from the cultural impact and musical journey of the celebrated Mexican American artist. Santana, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and a Grammy winner for his album "Supernatural," is renowned for his distinctive blend of Afro-Latin, blues, rock, and jazz. This unique sound, characterized by its hypnotic rhythms and mystical undertones, has resonated across generations, a quality the jewelry line seeks to emulate.
Carlos Santana articulated his vision for the collection, stating, "Jewelry, like music, carries energy. It tells a story, where spirit meets beauty, and every piece carries a frequency of intention." He emphasized that beyond creating timeless pieces and heirlooms, the collection aims to craft "reminders of light, strength, and purpose." This philosophy guides the design and selection of materials for the "Unidad" collection, the inaugural offering from Santana Now.
Noreen Paris of LMN Creations, who spearheaded the creative development, explained that the core idea was never merely about creating merchandise. Instead, the brand's philosophy deeply aligned with Carlos and Cindy Santana's values, focusing on peace, spirituality, emotional connection, and living with intention. The "Unidad" collection showcases jewels made from silver, natural diamonds, and gems like sapphires and black spinel, alongside PVD-coated silver beads. Notably, some pieces will feature authenticated Woodstock wood, sourced from the stage of the historic 1969 rock concert where Santana famously performed, adding a unique historical dimension to the collection.
The designs within the "Unidad" collection are rich with symbolic motifs, including peace symbols, sacred geometry, butterflies, and milagros—Mexican folk charms associated with spirituality and healing. These cross-cultural elements are intentionally incorporated to convey messages of unity, self-worth, love, protection, family, and personal transformation. Paris, drawing on her extensive experience with leading jewelry brands like David Yurman, John Hardy, and Pandora, highlighted that the goal was to create "wearable symbols connected to peace, spirit, unity, self-worth, love, protection, family, and personal transformation."
A significant aspect of the "Santana Now" initiative is its philanthropic commitment. A portion of the net proceeds from the sale of the jewelry will be donated to the Milagro Foundation. Established by Santana and his family in 1998, the foundation supports children globally through grants to local organizations focused on education, health, and the arts. This dedication to giving back reinforces Santana's belief that true value lies in transforming aesthetic beauty into meaningful blessings for others, making the jewelry not just an adornment, but a conduit for positive change.
