Grand Seiko is ushering in an exciting era for its Evolution 9 collection, unveiling a total of nine new references. Among these, particular attention is drawn to the refreshed Hi-Beat series, comprising four esteemed models: the Night Birch, White Birch, Green Birch, and Genbi Valley. These latest iterations maintain their acclaimed mechanical movements but introduce refined materials and a significantly improved bracelet design, enhancing both their aesthetic appeal and wearer comfort.

These four updated timepieces preserve their signature design characteristics, including the 40mm case diameter, 11.7mm thickness, and 47mm lug-to-lug measurement. Each case exhibits Grand Seiko's meticulous craftsmanship, with sharp, multi-faceted surfaces that seamlessly blend brushed and Zaratsu-polished finishes. The watches are equipped with a box-shaped sapphire crystal, a transparent case back, and are water-resistant to 100 meters, thanks to a secure screw-down crown and case back. A notable upgrade sees the White Birch (now SLGH031) and Green Birch (now SLGH033) models crafted from the advanced Ever-Brilliant Steel, a material also featured in the Genbi Valley SLGH035, while the Night Birch SLGH029 continues to be presented in High-Intensity Titanium.

Addressing feedback regarding earlier models' width and lack of tapering, Grand Seiko has introduced a more ergonomic bracelet with a pronounced taper, significantly improving wearability. Furthermore, echoing its successful integration in the Spring Drive UFA series, these new Hi-Beat watches now feature a three-step micro-adjustment clasp. This innovative clasp allows for precise, tool-free adjustments in 2mm increments, ensuring an optimal and customized fit for every wrist.
