Oris has brought back its refined Artelier Calibre 113, a dress watch that originally made its debut in 2017. This latest iteration, powered by the impressive Calibre 113 movement, returns with a sophisticated redesign, offering a comprehensive suite of business calendar functions. Known for its extended power reserve and intricate dial, this model stands out within the Artelier collection, which has also seen recent updates to its Complication and Date 38mm variants. The re-release emphasizes both classic elegance and practical utility, maintaining Oris's commitment to in-house movements and meticulous craftsmanship, providing watch enthusiasts with a blend of tradition and innovation in a distinguished timepiece.

First introduced in 2017, the Artelier Calibre 113 by Oris presented a refined dress watch to the market, distinguishing itself from the brand's more rugged diver and pilot watches. It featured the Calibre 113 movement, a variant of the acclaimed Calibre 110. This movement family also includes the Calibre 111, the GMT Calibre 114, and the moon phase-equipped Calibre 112. The original Artelier model was lauded for its rich dial information, which encompassed a business calendar, a power reserve indicator, and a small seconds display. The Calibre 113 movement briefly resurfaced in 2026 with the limited-edition Year of the Horse timepiece, showcasing a deep red hue.

The newly re-released Artelier Calibre 113 incorporates the same powerful engine but with a distinctive aesthetic. While the Calibre 113 was also utilized in last year's Big Crown platform, the Artelier version carves out its own identity. Notable changes include relocating the date display from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock and simplifying the small seconds display, moving away from the earlier railway-style design. Furthermore, the circular power reserve indicator has been transformed into an arc-shaped retrograde display, adding a touch of contemporary flair while maintaining the movement's robust 10-day power reserve, a hallmark of Oris's in-house Calibre 100 series, launched in 2014 for the brand's 110th anniversary.

Despite the abundance of features on the dial, Oris has expertly managed the design to prevent an overwhelming appearance. The thoughtful typography and generous spacing ensure legibility, while a palette of subdued colors contributes to its calm and elegant demeanor. The dial also exhibits a subtle asymmetry, adding character without being overtly distracting. Customers can choose between white and green dial options. Both are paired with a dark brown cordovan leather strap, although the white dial version is also available with a stainless steel bracelet. The watch measures 43mm in diameter, 13.1mm in thickness, and has a 50mm lug-to-lug distance, positioning it as one of the larger timepieces within the current Artelier family. It offers a water resistance of 50 meters, with the steel crown facilitating adjustments for the day, date, and week displays.

The Oris Calibre 113, visible through the sapphire case back, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivers an impressive 10-day power reserve, achieved through a single, oversized mainspring barrel. A key feature of this movement is its patented non-linear power reserve display, which provides increasingly precise readings as the remaining energy dwindles. This mechanism ensures wearers receive more accurate information when it matters most, reflecting Oris's dedication to both precision and user-friendly design. The new Artelier Calibre 113 is available in three distinct references: a white dial with a leather strap, a white dial with a stainless steel bracelet, and a green dial with a leather strap, each priced at CHF 6,350.
