Oris ProPilot Calibre 111 Set to Debut at WatchTime New York 2026
Oris is poised to present its reimagined ProPilot Calibre 111 at WatchTime New York 2026. This latest iteration of their prominent pilot's watch combines a sleek, vertically brushed dial with a textured finish, a modernized case design, and the brand's renowned hand-wound Calibre 111. The event, scheduled from October 16 to 18 at Gotham Hall, will serve as a premier showcase for various timepieces, ranging from intricate haute horlogerie to robust sports and pilot watches, offering enthusiasts a comprehensive look at the industry's finest.
The ProPilot Calibre 111, building upon the recent aesthetic refresh of the ProPilot Date, embodies both visual sophistication and enhanced wearability. Its 43mm stainless-steel enclosure maintains the collection's signature angular fluting on the bezel and an generously proportioned crown, elements that pay homage to Oris’s storied aviation lineage while presenting a distinctly contemporary profile.
A notable feature of this timepiece is its dial, which masterfully contrasts different textures. Available in sophisticated black or a rich pine green, the outer segment of the dial boasts an organic texture that gracefully frames and partially reveals a central section with a vertical brushed finish. This deliberate fusion bestows upon the watch a more refined character, simultaneously underscoring the functional and robust nature inherent to the ProPilot Calibre 111. For optimal visibility in all lighting conditions, the applied hour markers and Arabic numerals, along with the hand tips, are generously coated with Super-LumiNova. The thoughtful redesign extends to the case and bracelet, ensuring comfort and ergonomic excellence, a focus first introduced with the ProPilot Date.
Powering this refined instrument is the in-house developed Oris Calibre 111, a hand-wound movement celebrated for its exceptional 240-hour power reserve, providing a full ten days of autonomous operation. The remaining energy is indicated by a non-linear power-reserve display, which becomes progressively more precise as the reserve diminishes, offering practical insight into winding needs. The intricate movement is beautifully showcased through the sapphire crystal case back, where its substantial barrel takes center stage.
With a water resistance rating of 100 meters, the case measures 13.2mm in thickness. It offers versatility in wear with options for either a stainless-steel bracelet, equipped with Oris's innovative folding LIFT clasp, or a dark brown Cordovan leather strap that features a seamless fit-adjustment system and a stainless-steel LIFT clasp. Pricing for the metal bracelet version is $7,400, while the leather strap option is available at $7,200.
The revamped Oris ProPilot Calibre 111 is a testament to Oris’s commitment to combining classic pilot watch aesthetics with advanced mechanical innovation, ready to impress attendees at WatchTime New York 2026.
