Bianchet Unveils the Rotondo UltraFino Diamond at WatchTime New York 2026

October 17

Bianchet is showcasing a new iteration of its ultra-thin flying tourbillon, the Rotondo UltraFino Diamond, at WatchTime New York 2026. This watch combines the durability of Grade 5 titanium with the luxurious sparkle of a diamond-set white gold bezel, encasing a skeletonized dial. The in-house movement is engineered to withstand forces up to 5,000 G and offers 100-meter water resistance, making it both technically robust and aesthetically refined.

The Rotondo UltraFino Diamond maintains the collection's signature round case and integrated bracelet while introducing an opulent element. The 39.5mm Grade 5 titanium case, only 8.9mm thick, features a bezel crafted from 18-karat white gold adorned with 40 natural baguette-cut diamonds, totaling 1.6 carats. These F-G color, VVS clarity diamonds create a radiant frame around the openworked movement, visible from the dial side. A white rubber gasket beneath the bezel provides a subtle transition between the white gold and titanium, complemented by an additional white rubber strap included with the watch.

At the heart of the timepiece is Bianchet's UR01 manufacture caliber, an automatic flying tourbillon developed and assembled in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. This openworked movement, designed according to the Golden Ratio, is just 3.85mm thick and comprises 225 components. Its mainplate, bridges, and flying tourbillon cage are made from Grade 5 titanium, while an 18-karat rose gold central rotor, adhering to Fibonacci geometry, adds a touch of warmth. The UR01 offers a 60-hour power reserve and is built to endure shocks up to 5,000 G, with over 30 hours dedicated to hand-beveling the skeletonized bridges.

This new timepiece exemplifies how precision engineering and exquisite craftsmanship can merge to create a product that is both beautiful and resilient. It serves as a reminder that the pursuit of excellence in watchmaking not only pushes the boundaries of technical achievement but also inspires an appreciation for the intricate artistry involved. Such innovations reflect a commitment to quality and a passion for creating objects that stand the test of time, embodying both innovation and enduring elegance.
