Pequignet Unveils Sophisticated Attitude Onyx with In-House Calibre

October 12
Pequignet, a distinguished watchmaker, expands its renowned collection with a new model that accentuates the beauty of its dial material. Following the success of a limited edition with a Tiger's Eye dial, the brand now presents a version featuring a sophisticated black onyx, harmoniously integrated with its in-house automatic movement.

Elegance Redefined: The New Pequignet Attitude Onyx Timepiece

The Enduring Allure of the Attitude Collection: A Legacy of Sophistication

Building on the success of its limited-edition predecessor, which featured a Tiger's Eye dial, Pequignet continues to enrich its collection with timepieces where the dial's material takes center stage. The latest addition, the Attitude Onyx, moves away from conventional dial finishes by showcasing a genuine black onyx face. This dark, consistently textured surface provides a subdued backdrop, enhanced by subtle rose-gold highlights.

Masterful Design: The Casing and Its Exquisite Details

This timepiece maintains the collection's established design principles, featuring traditional dimensions with a case measuring 39mm in diameter and 9.2mm in thickness, and a lug-to-lug distance of 46.85mm. Crafted from polished 316L stainless steel, its profile is notably compact and gracefully rounded. The dial is safeguarded by a domed, box-shaped sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating, infusing a touch of vintage elegance into its otherwise contemporary design. The crown is adorned with the brand's signature fleur-de-lys emblem, while the caseback, secured by six screws, includes a sapphire window offering a glimpse into the intricate movement. The watch also boasts a water resistance of 50 meters.

The Dial's Mystique: A Fusion of Onyx and Rose Gold

The watch's face is meticulously cut from authentic black onyx, displaying the mineral's characteristic opaque color and delicate grain. Rose-gold plated hands and hour markers provide a warm contrast against the dark onyx. The brand's logo is subtly presented in white, and a sharp minutes track encircles the dial's edge, ensuring clarity and precision.

Precision Engineering: The Heartbeat of the Calibre Initial

Powering this exquisite watch is the Calibre Initial, Pequignet's own automatic movement, meticulously developed, manufactured, and assembled in Morteau. With a diameter of 28.2mm and a slender thickness of just 4.2mm, it enables the watch to maintain its relatively slim proportions. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offering a generous 65-hour power reserve and a stop-seconds function for precise time setting. Pequignet proudly highlights that 72% of the movement's components are French-made, with the remaining parts sourced from Switzerland, all within an 80km radius of its manufacturing facility.

Completing the Ensemble: Strap, Availability, and Pricing

The Attitude Onyx is presented on a black leather strap, finished with a matching black leather lining and secured by a polished stainless steel pin buckle, also featuring the fleur-de-lys logo. This model is a permanent addition to the collection and is available for EUR 3,500, inclusive of VA
